      Hi Weisbabes69,
Thank you very much for the votes! Please vote some more! 🙂

If I was lucky enough to win, I’d put the money towards starting a workshop for teenagers about decomposition. It would be 2 or 3 days long (it would probably involve a bus trip and staying over here, but I’m not sure of the details yet), and you would get to come to my newly set up Forensic Fieldwork Facility, and see real bodies (pigs or other animals) decompose. The workshop would include hands-on practicals learning about what a forensic anthropologist does, so there would be bones and skeletons to look at and examine to determine age and sex, and differentiating between human and animal bones. There would also be a chance to dress up in a proper forensic scene suit (the white suits you see on the tv), and investigate a pig that has ‘murdered’ (in a mock crime scene). You would have a go doing proper forensic photography, and collect insects to try to do forensic entomology (insect analysis) to work out how long the ‘victim’ had been dead. You would be able to experience the smells and sights of a decomposing body, and get a chance to investigate a ‘crime scene’. I think it would be a great experience for anyone interested in following a career in forensic science, and I can tell you that there aren’t many places in the UK where you would get the chance to do something similar. I think it would be great fun too!!

If you want to find out more about me and about my facility (one of only 2 in the UK), look at my IAS profile, but also, go to my new blog: Forensic Anna:thropology You can see photos there of the facility. If you like it, please follow it!

I am REALLY enjoying taking part in IAS, and don’t want to stop, so please keep voting for me!
      Thanks again! 🙂
