• Question: How exactly does period work, i dont know if this helps but my period isnt comming out so much and its brown! im getting worried but i dont want to waste Doc'ss time.!?

      I wouldn’t worry about them being light and maybe a bit brown in colour. I don’t know how old you are, or when you started your periods, but younger girls, who haven’t had their period for very long (say less than a few years) can get very light periods. Also, periods are not always bright red. At the beginning or end of each period, the blood can be a bit brown – it is perfectly normal and absolutely nothing to worry about.

      However, if you usually have heavier periods, and this one is much lighter than usual (and if you’ve had unprotected sex recently) then it might be a good idea to see the doctor.
