      Hi 10mlram,

This is not my area of science at all, and the only viruses I know of are computers ones…… but in the interest of competition, I am going to make an educated guess……..

Everyone has bacteria…. good and bad…. (I’ve seen that on an advert)… so bacteria must be useful in many ways (not sure how without googling)…. we need to balance our good and bad bacteria (also off an advert) 🙂

Now viruses are bad…very bad… in your body and your computer… I believe (though I could well be wrong) that they attack your immune system and make you very ill.

ADVICE – don’t worry too much about bacteria… but make sure you do your best to keep clean and healthy… like washing your hands after the toilet (I always need reminding 🙂 ) … Keep well away from viruses, I am sure you will find plenty of useful information on the internet on how to protect yourself.

Thanks for a great challenging question! anymore 🙂
